Hello all, and I hope your Spooky Season is off to a phantasmic start! Before everyone’s favorite post-punk protagonist, Sebastian Curtis, chimes in with his account of the 2026 Post-Punk Road Show World Tour, we have a couple of exciting announcements.

OUR SEASONAL SALE HAS BEGUN!

The Seasonal Sale has started and will run until November 30th (Cyber Monday). We’ll be doing something very special for Giving Tuesday, but more on that in November. All items in the store are discounted by at least 15% and up to 30% (while inventory lasts)! So if you’ve not picked up your copy of the limited edition Post-Punk Road Show or Rock ‘N’ Roll Zero: Singles & Rarities package, now’s your chance! These books also make a perfect holiday gift for the music lovers and readers in your life.

Based on your feedback, our books will be available on Amazon as of Halloween. This makes for a much easier, frictionless experience, helps to attract new customers, and lets us fulfill orders outside the U.S. Note: Seasonal Sale prices are only available at the Fates On Fire Store.

I’m tired. I’m exhausted. In fact, I am so far beyond both that I’m out the other side. Brooke just brought me a magnificent, steaming cup of coffee, so maybe my addled mind can find a modicum of purchase on reality and regain its steadiness. I’ve just returned from the 2026 Post-Punk Road Show World Tour, and what a wild adventure it was. How did all of this even start?

I got a call in mid-August from Jeffrey, who pitched the whole thing to me. “Dude, we need more hype on the book, so I’d like for you to go on tour and promote it.”

“Okay, why me?” I ask.

“You’re the star of the show; I’m just the publisher who no one cares about,” is his reply.

“On tour? What the hell am I supposed to do?”

He says, “Like a regular book tour, but with some rock panache. Play a few songs, read some funny excerpts from the book, do a Q&A, and lay the Curtis charm on thick. That kind of thing. Anyway, I’m sure you’ll figure it out.”

“I don’t know about this. We’ve got some high-profile live reviews coming up,” I retort.

In that typical Jeffrey tone, he says, “It’s not really an ask, Sebastian. The tour’s already booked, and you’re going out. I’ve cleared everything with Brooke, so focus on putting together a one-hour act quickly; you leave in 2 weeks. I’m sending the itinerary now, so we can review.”

“Wait, what is this? This is the most fucked-up tour schedule I’ve ever seen? Spokane, really? Africa? I’ve never even heard of Al Afak. Is this some Malcolm McClaren U.S. Sex Pistols tour deal – all these weird, out-of-the way-places to generate maximum chaos and media attention?” I growl accusingly.

“A bit, yeah, but it’s going to be fantastic, so don’t worry. And you’re playing the Longhorn in Dallas, the same place the Pistols played. How’s that for punk rock?” he tries to reassure me.

But I’m having none of it. “Newsflash, Jeffrey, we both know how that tour went and how it ended.”

“Listen,” he says, “This one will be the complete opposite. The Morocco shows will blow your mind. You’re a special guest for a chi-chi event. It’s not like you’re going to be playing a camel watering hole in the middle of the Sahara. Plus, I got you 2 nights at the Victoria & Albert! And deluxe accommodations, so just lean into it.”

“Whatever you say, chief. I’ll lean into it alright,” I utter with a snarky yet resigned tone as I end the call.

2 weeks later, with guitar and books, I was off…

Damn, this coffee tastes great, and it’s nice to be back home and in Brooke’s arms. Turns out, Jeffrey was right. While it was the most unusual tour of my life, it was also the most memorable. People turned up, and we all had a great time. If you are one of them reading this, thank you so much for coming out!.

I could go on, but I know you kids dig the reels, so here you go!
