Fates On Fire, reader dearest, is still going strong. I can hear your chides now, “Sure you say, but where are my insightful articles? My bi-mon fix? My joie de vivre?” It’s okay babies! I’m still, and will always, be here for you. We’ve been at this for a while and, as you know, I’d never let you down! We read, we exchange, we trust, and we hope…

But…

No, it’s not what you fear most – the dreaded 3-year blogger syndrome. There’s still plenty left to discuss and enjoy, assuming you’re game…

I hope so….

Anyway, my kinda, sorta hiatus, is due exclusively to one thing and one thing only…

Diligently hammering away at the new “Rock ‘N Roll Zero” novel.

The book is near 150 pages now and still going strong as my fearless agent tries desperately to land us a publishing deal. We’ll see what the Fates have in store for Mr. Fate.

In any event, you may note a slight variance in publishing frequency. I expect it to be about every 3, rather than 2 weeks. I may stay on schedule or take an additional week in between depending on what’s happening at the given moment.

I had a few folks inquire directly, so I thought it prudent and courteous to shed a little light!

That’s a plenty valid reason…and more importantly…wow! Very excited to see how this book shapes up for you. I’ve little doubt your writing will be excellent in it… you’ll need some good marketing, a bunch of luck…and hey, maybe even fate—to take you that last mile to success. 🙂 Cheers!

Thanks Chris. It’s been a pretty interesting process so far and cool to work with a legit agent who’s been very helpful. Yes, the average sales for a 1st time author is about 300 books, which is just awful. Anyhoo, my decades spent as a rock musician have accustomed me to $2.35 royalty checks, so at least my expectations are level-set for this endeavor 🤣

I disappear for much longer stretches and have less blog equity built up, so you won’t hear any complaints out of me! I can hardly finish a blog post these days much less undertake writing a book. Kudos to you and looking forward to the finished product!
